About Melissa

Melissa Hayes is a published researcher with an innate love of science. She holds a B.S. in Management and a M.S. in Psychology from the Georgia Institute of Technology.

As a child, Melissa overcame two Traumatic Brain Injuries. She learned to cope with sensory processing challenges and neurological differences throughout her life.

Melissa has always been drawn to nature, as this is the one place where her senses could rest.

Inspired by her neurological challenges, Melissa developed research to study cognition and memory. She managed federal grant-funded research studies at Georgia Tech, which provided a rigorous training of the scientific method. This skill-set became invaluable while healing from unexplained health challenges later in life.

Melissa worked in two inpatient Behavioral Health hospitals. During this time, she witnessed a critical need for improved environmental health conditions for patients and staff.

Between the harsh fluorescent lighting, toxic chemical cleaners, artificial fragrances, poor quality food, high levels of Wireless Radiation, and limited time in nature, Melissa understood this was not an environment for true healing.

As research continues to validate, there are many contributing factors for mental and physical well-being that are environmental and within our power to modify.

Although we've made progress with creating sensory-friendly and less toxic environments, there is often an invisible missing piece:

Non-Native Electromagnetic Fields (EMFs).

Once Melissa realized this missing piece and reduced her exposures to Wireless Radiation and other EMFs, her health and vitality returned. Her sensory processing challenges improved, and her neurodivergence became a source of strength.

Melissa now serves as an Environmental Health Consultant for her community. She works to improve the quality of environments in homes, schools, businesses, and medical facilities. Melissa offers custom design services to create neuro-inclusive environments.

A cornerstone of Melissa's approach is environmental mitigation, which simply means – improving the quality of one's environment to be in greater harmony with nature.

"A healthier environment for one person is a healthier environment for all."

Melissa volunteers as an Environmental Health advocate and speaker – both remotely and in the Verde Valley of Arizona.
